With all the hype and negative talk about Uber I decided to try it and see what its all about. Some people are claiming to make as much as $300 per day, others are saying they are not breaking even. Of course there are many factors that need to be taken into account for E.X. gas for the day, wear and tear on the car, constant car washes and the other perks some drivers expect even though it may not be feasible, for ex free water and snacks when driving on UberX. I've been reading much on the subject of Uber with the increase of fee's from Uber and the decreased fair rates. These two changes directly cut into the pockets of the drivers. The claim is it will increase Uber usage therefor increasing the number of fairs you collect. While i'm sure this makes sense on some levels it will also have a negative impact on the markets that do not have as many riders, not because people don't want to use Uber, but because there may not be enough people to use it. I am sure this makes sense for Uber the company, but it also needs to be said this could spell doom for the people who were previously breaking even. Many people have the expectation that Uber will allow them to remove the tether from their day job and work on their own terms. For some this may be true, for others it may not. My expectation is this will provide a source of income, not my sole source, but a source. Onto the sign up process:
